Becoming a Presenting Couple (Team)
On the weekend you were introduced to two married couples and a priest who shared some of their life stories with you. Being a presenting couple gives you a chance to do the same thing. If you are serious about marriage as a sacrament, and want to support and guide couples, then contact Craig and Amy Nielson at 775-853-6318 or nielson4@sbcglobal.
One of the weekend “parts” is designed for newly married couples and indeed works better if a newer married couple gives it. We ease you in gradually, working through your preparation over a 12 –15 month period.
A large benefit for you is the opportunity to regularly be around other families, who share your values and will support you as you journey through marriage. Beyond this, being on weekends several times each year allows you to work on your own relationship and renew your marriage.
Being a Prayer Couple
Support through prayer is one way you help couples making an Engaged Encounter Weekend. This is done from home. You do not need to come to the weekend. As explained on your weekend, you can become a prayer couple. Contact Charlie & Linda Gill at 775-825-2534 orauthorcharlieg@yahoo.com
Other Ways to Help Engaged Encounter
Set up on Friday night: We need help setting up the facility on friday night staring at 5:00 PM
Serve meals: We need help serving lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner and Saturday evening.
Take down: We need help with cleaning up the facility at the end of the weekend. We also need help taking down and putting away the supplies used during the weekend. Sunday at 1:30 PM.
