  • 1. What Should We Bring to the Weekend?

    Please be sure to bring the following items with you: • Comfortable casual clothing • An open mind and a smile
  • 2. What supplies does EE provide for the weekend?

    The following items will be provided on the weekend. You do NOT need to bring these items: • Refreshments (soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk, orange juice), notebook, and pens.
  • 3. What time should we arrive?

    The Engaged Encounter Weekend will begin on Saturday morning with Check-In beginning at 7:30 AM along with a continental breakfast. The program starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Because we are on a tight schedule, we cannot wait for couples who arrive late.
  • 4. What is the weekend schedule?

    Saturday:  8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday:  8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The weekend typically ends, with a closing Mass, between 3 and 4 pm on Sunday. In special or unusual circumstances, our schedule may change, but the weekend should still run no later than 4 pm.
  • 5. Do we have to stay for the entire weekend?

    YES. It is very important that you stay for the entire weekend. If you arrive late or leave early you will miss important parts of the weekend experience, and we will not be able to give you your weekend certificate verifying your attendance.
  • 6. Will we be staying overnight on the weekend?

    NO.  This is a commuter weekend meaning you will go home each evening and return in the morning.
  • 7. Are there any ground rules for the weekend?

    Yes, we do ask that you observe a few basic rules. • Please refrain from the use of alcohol and illegal drugs • Please do not bring pets or children to the weekend.  Make arrangements for their care prior to your weekend.  The weekend is for you to focus on each other.  Do not bring anything that will be a distraction to you as a couple. • Please do not leave the weekend, for any reason, unless an emergency arises. If you need to leave, please speak to one of the team members.
  • 8. Can you accommodate my special diet needs?

    YES. Please indicate any special dietary needs when registering.
  • 9. What should we wear?

    Dress for the entire weekend is casual. Please dress comfortably. While you are welcome to do so, there is no need to change for dinner or Mass.
  • 10. Where can I smoke?

    All of our facilities prohibit smoking. You may, however, smoke in the designated area outside of the building.
  • 11. Will we have much free time this weekend?

    No, the weekend is designed to be intense so that you can spend as much concentrated time together as possible preparing for your marriage.  Time permitting; we will have a break on Saturday afternoon.
